When the US Government has declared an all-out war against terrorism.
In a top-secret Russian laboratory, a new threat to mankind has been developed. It is a deadly biochemical weapon scientists simply refer to as “DF105.” Within a span of two hours after being ingested into the human body, a single drop of DF105 can react with the Hydrochloric acid—present in the stomach—triggering the ill-fated human anomaly known as Spontaneous Human Explosion (S.H.E.). It is lethal enough to destroy everything within a 73-foot range, give or take a few feet. Odorless, tasteless and colorless, DF105 is virtually untraceable. Those who have knowingly [or unknowingly] ingested it literally become ticking time bombs that can pass through any security check undetected. Unknown to the US Government, DF105 has already found its way into the hands of the world’s most dreaded terrorist outfit: Al Qaeda.
Since this deadly weapon lies in the hands of terrorists, the world's security now stands at risk.
With the help of the bioweapon, Al Qaeda is planning the worst terrorist attack in human history that would threaten to wipe out the entire Eastern Seaboard. Their first subject: a young Palestinian woman, Abir Sakir‚ who has spent a majority of her childhood abandoned in a refugee camp in Jabalya, Gaza. Her objective: to be a Suicide Bomber.
Character Sketch - Abir Sakir
Abir appears to be a simple minded woman who is very subtle in her ways, but deep within her, she's as elusive as a snake, and untrusting of any who pass her way. She can be described as queer, but uses this as a manipulative way of getting into people's hearts and minds. With the personality that she shows on the surface, she can be easily loved. She seems quiet and easy going, and as a result, has the gift of the muse. She has the incandescent ability to compose insanely deep, yet wonderful poems. She also has a serious passion for music, and as a result of which, she spends most of her free time with her beloved organ, drowning that very emptiness from within her by playing and composing notes with heavy emotional undertones.
The reasons behind her shadowy interior is simple in description, yet complex in actuality. Abir lost her entire family - which includes her parents, her brother, and her sister - at the age of 5. As a result, of an attack by Israeli Armed Forces, after which she spent 2 years being enslaved, overworked, and beaten at a refugee camp. located mere miles from her home. adopted by an American missionary, who brought her to Boston, MA, where she's has been living since the age of 7. Now a nuclear scientist, Abir has access to some of the most secure areas of the Nuclear Power Station in Maine.
Al Qaeda plans to manipulate Abir, using her very troubled childhood and resentment against the allies of Israel, into voluntarily ingesting DF105, and have her stand within 73 feet of the nuclear reactor located deep within the nuclear facility, triggering the worst nuclear fallout the world has ever seen.
To protect the United States against such a threat, a special task-force known as the Anti-Terrorist Action Team (ATAT), has been assigned to the tasks of tracking down and eliminating Al Qaeda operatives found hiding in the US, and to protect high-risk facilities located within the U.S. Highly decorated ex-Navy Seal Jason Clifford, winner of the congressional Medal of Honor and bearer of 3 Purple Hearts, has been appointed as the head of this task-force.
Jason’s team has received classified information from the CIA that terrorists plan to bomb the country’s largest nuclear facility, but they do not know how, nor when.
OPTION I - Abir is brainwashed by terrorists
Abir takes part at an IAEA conference in Vienna. The russian scientist Anna, which is an FSB agent, invites Abir to an evening at the opera. In their box are waiting two Arabic men. While Anna and one of the men sit in the front to watch the show, Abir sits in the back of the box, watching the opera as she reminisces about her own music. The box in which they sit isn't visible to the rest of the audience. Via screen-spectacles and earphones Abir is confronted with her past and the ongoing threads against the Palestinians. Unknowing, she is brainwashed...and it works. After the show, at an exclusive dinner, Abir is then informed about her mission.
Option II - Abir is brainwashed by her only next of kin living (also) in the United States - (As suggested by Ogbamz, Nigeria)
As a result of the hallucinations she continually experiences because of her troubled childhood, Abir has been advised by a psychologist to find out more about her past to overcome her fears completely.
Following this advice, she starts tracing her past, in the course of which she stumbles upon a cousin of hers whom she has not seen for years. Suave is the apt word for this personality. His name is Bin Shamar. He is quiet, mild mannered, good looking, has a way with words and with people. Abir soon finds herself heavily influenced by Shamar and starts to look up to him in a lot of ways. In the course of the film, we see Shamar teaching Abir some lessons about life and how she should react. Shamar tells Abir a story about prophet musa, how he was a leader very much like her; he did not know his people like her, but yet he was ready to serve them.
The scene takes a serious turn when Shamar looks Abir straight in the eye and questions her commitment to the cause of Palestine and its people with a barrage of questions, “Are you willing to serve your people? Do you want to be used by Allah? Are you willing to avenge the death of your family and all those brave martyrs who laid down their lives in search of our freedom?”
The next scene that follows has Abir covering her face with a veil, which from the reactions of her neighbors conveys that it is unusual of her to do this. The man Shamar does not exit the movie immediately; his character is suspicious but suave. There are a few glimpses of his teachings and mannerisms which Abir keeps remembering throughout in flashes. Shamar is a smooth operator; but as smooth as he is, he is unable to fully cover up his pent up resentment. Although he is living in the United States, he doesn’t like Americans or their government. He smiles diplomatically at them while manning the counter at a convenient store, but makes it a point to never shake their hands, making sure that he doesn’t get too friendly with the “infidels.”
There are also some scenes that flash as interludes depicting Shamar telling Abir that "The prophet Musa gave up his life for his people; his personal liberty; We are taught that he was a prince with riches and splendor but he gave that all up" and then he looks at her and asks her "Are you willing to give your life up for your peoples liberation?”
In her subconscious mind, Abir remembers Shamar asking her this question again and again. She lets out a mind-numbing scream and wakes up to find herself in bed. She sits up shaking and convulsing desperately clinging to her ragged doll, the only piece of her childhood that has survived her awful past. It’s past her wake up time and she’s late for work. There’s a special briefing for a new drill that is being conducted at the Maine nuclear facility today …
Abir is now under 24/7 surveillance by Jason and his men who hope to catch her off guard receiving any information, or any explosive material. However, they have no clue that the bomb they are searching for is a biochemical agent already delivered to her on a mall shelf hidden inside a can of Coke®.
To avoid being detected, Jason goes undercover in the guise of a nuclear scientist who is infatuated with Abir and tries to befriend her. His pretense gradually turns to reality as he finds himself increasingly attracted to Abir, her lonely sad eyes; her luscious lips; her trauma was like his trauma; he never knew his father and his mother blamed him for him leaving; he was beaten and then grew up with his nan who is now deceased.
With no antidote to DF105 clinically known to man, what will happen when Jason finds out that Abir is a live bomb waiting to go off? Can he save the world from a nuclear - escalation, and the woman he's falling in love with?

Almost suddenly Abir's mother, Lydia, bursts in with a brown package. Smiling, she holds it before Abir.
ABIR What are you holding, mother?
LYDIA Why don't you open it and see!
Perplexed, she grabs the package, ripping and tearing away at the wrapping. To her surprise, it was a new doll! It was the greatest doll Abir has ever seen!
Lydia was such a loving mother to her children, though her money was scarce. She wasn't allowed to have a job. She always tried to get her kids what they want without father knowing about it. He's very strict and doesn't believe that children should have fun.
Lydia went back to cooking. While she stirred the broth, she suddenly noticed her plates and glass cups slightly begin to shake and rattle. Within the next few seconds, the rattling increasingly becomes more relevant, joining the entire house, which now rumbles. Before long (14 secs.), There is an explosion. The entire front of the house blows in, blasting the front door past Abir, hitting her mother and knocking her unconscious. Abir now sits in fear, screaming and holding herself in a position like that of a fetus*. She notices her mother lying on the floor,...
Flash Forward- current day
Abir is now a very attractive scientist living in Maine, she is in a lab at night after everyone else has left.....

shamar influences abir to the point that neighbors start to notice obvious changes in abir but the fact is many of them do not really see anything wrong with shamar. the intelligence agency which has been studying the movements of certain immigrants into the country discover that shamar works for the Al Qaeda and starts the search for him, abir hides and helps him to escape she is arrested by the intelligence it is at this point that the obvious changes in abir becomes really evident in the way she answers questions.
jason cliffords character is one that is more like the james bond character when it comes to his job, he is a perfect officer who seems to be a great achiever as far as his job is concerned but his past is what is motivating his efforts at his job, his father was afailure , a drunk ,the father abandoned clifford and his mother when he was very young.....to be continued
he could have grown up poor, then after a life of petty crime, he decided to become a police officer. from there he decided to joined the Navy during the first Gulf war. then made his way up to where he is now...hows that? - Guitarchick
maybe Abir has a friend who works with her at the Nuclear facility. during this whole "Brain-washing" she confides in her, and asks for her advice. although she doesn't quite say exactly whats wrong.anyway, she is the one who "finds" her cousin for her and surprises her with him. but whats really going on is that she is actually working for the terrorists too. and when Abir fails to explode she reveals her self, and the fact that she took DF-105 her self. ( either she was the "fail safe" in case that happened or Abir was never ment to blow up.) either way her friend is the one who ends up blowing up and causeing the melt down.
there could also be a sequal, in that Abirs cousin got away.-Guitarchick
